Unable to Print Large Reports

PROBLEM:
Large reports spooling only a portion of the report to a printer then stopping.

 

SOLUTION

1.  Apply this Crystal Viewer update http://scrisapidemo.seagatesoftware.com/xtreme/prodcat.rpt?init=actx (the machine must be connected to the internet). The viewer looks a little different and may require a little user re-training.

2.  Increase the cache size for the viewer

a. Go to Program Files\Apache Group\Apache\cgi-bin

b.  Run WEBCONF.EXE

c.  Go to the Report Viewing tab

d.  Click on Cache Settings

e.  Increase Maximum Cache Size (how much may depend on the amount of RAM you have)

f.  Click OK

g.  You must restart the Apache Service (or reboot) before this change will take effect

3.  Also decrease the print quality under the printer's Properties
