Preliminary
- These
instructions do not apply after a failed installation
attempt.

instructions do not apply for an upgrade from earlier
versions.
- Close
all programs.
- Reboot
the Server.
- When
the CD is inserted it will automatically run the
LunchBox installation.

BackOffice Server Naming Conventions:
- Set
the Server Name before installing MSDE.
- Do
not
use a completely numeric Server Name.

use dashes in the Server Name.
Installing MSDE2K (SQL Server 2K - Desktop

Installing the JRE (Java Runtime Environment, Java Virtual

Windows Explorer locate the folder with the JRE install.

Installing the JSDK (Java Servlet Dev. Kit):

Installing POS BackOffice or SiteManager
NOTE: This will cause the Server to automatically
reboot without asking you

Reinsert the LunchBox installation CD to activate the
autorun.
(If the CD doesnÕt
autorun, then explore
it and run Setup.exe
in the CDÕs root)

Select either POS
BackOffice or SiteManager and click Next
3 Select Full
Installation and click Next
4. The remainder of the installation should
finish without user intervention and the Server will reboot automatically.
Installing POS Terminal
NOTE: POS Terminal installation will automatically initiate
installation of the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) and the JMF
(Java Media Framework). These installation will start Ôon topÕ
of the POS Terminal installation. It is vitally important that
you install POS Terminal in the order shown below. Be patient
for the two Java installations to begin.
1.
Insert the LunchBox installation CD to activate the autorun.
(If the CD doesnÕt autorun,
then explore it and run Setup.exe
in the CDÕs root)
2.
Select POS Terminal and
click Next
3.
When
prompted to Òinstall
the Java Runtime EnvironmentÓ click
Yes
4.
On the Software License
Agreement dialog click Yes
5.
On the Choose Destination
Location dialog click Next
6.
When prompted to Restart
the Computer choose No,
I will restart my computer later and click Finish
7.
When prompted to Ò install the JMFÓ click Yes
8.
On the Software License
Agreement dialog click Yes
9.
On the Choose Destination
Location dialog click Next
10.
On the Select Components
dialog click Next
11.
Close the JMF window by clicking on the X in the upper
right corner

When prompted to Restart
the Computer choose No,
I will restart my computer later and click Finish

This
should bring you back to the POS Terminal ÔWelcomÕ screen
where you will run the actual POS Terminal portion of the installation.

Click Next

On
the Information dialog click Next
16.
On the Choose
Destination Location dialog click Next
17.
On the "Enter
Information" dialog enter then Machine
Name of the POS BackOffice Server and click Next
18.
Select Program Folder click Next
19.
Reboot the Server (setup is complete)
