Server Name

PROBLEM:

Do I need to name the server machine something specific so that Back Office will work properly?

SOLUTION

The server name should not have dashes, underscores or spaces, and it should not be all numbers. Also, if the server machine will be on a WAN (wide area network) it should not be something simple as in SERVER1 or OEMCOMPUTER for fear of conflict with other machines on the network.
